Help

  1. From the library, click on the + button in the top left, to take you to the online store
  2. In the store, tap on the book that you want
  3. In the following screen, highlight the languages/versions that you want by tapping on them
  4. Tap the "Download" button to download the highlighted languages/versions.

Takes you to the Parallel Books store, where you can add books to your library

Tap on a flag, then pick the language you want, and tap somewhere other than on the flags.

With two books on screen:

1> Swipe left or right on a book to page forward or back, the other book will follow as required (note: only the book that you swipe on is guaranteed to move exactly one page, the other book will move as far as required to keep its content parallel).

2> Tap on the right or left edge of the screen to page forward or back the left book. note: (only the left book is guaranteed to move exactly one page, the right book will move as far as required to keep its content parallel).

With a single book on screen:

1> Swipe left or right on the book anywhere other than the side which is closest to the other book to page forward or back the book currently on screen, the other book will follow as required.

2>Tap on the right or left edge of the screen to page forward or back the book that is on screen, the other book will follow as required.

Drag your finger on a book to scrroll through it, the other book will follow as required.

Swipe on the slider at the bottom of the screen, not on the slider button, to move forward or back a single chapter.

Use the slider at the bottom of the screen.

If the book has a table of contents, there will be a table of contents button in the bottom left of the screen.

To view footnotes, click on the superscript number in the text.

To return to the book, click on the number of the footnote in the footnotes list.

Double tap on the button bars (away from buttons) to hide them, giving more screen space for your books. Double tap in the same areas to bring the button bars back.

Tap on the content that you want to align, the other book will align to this content.

Swipe from the side of the screen closest to the offscreen book. Note that a small arrow is displayed beside the book's flag when the book is off screen.

Press and hold text on screen, then drag the sliders on each side of the text to select the amount of text that you want. Then, in the menu athat has appeared, select the colour of the highlight that you want to add. The text will now be highlighted, and a tappable target will be added. In the dialogue that appears you can add a title or notes for this highlight. You can also choose whether you want this text to always be highlighted, or only when you tap on its target. 

Tap on the View All Notes button in the button bar. If there is at least one note, this will be coloured. From there you can search notes, or choose to only see highlights of a specific colour. Tapping on a notes target from here will bring you back to its location in the book that it is in.
